About myself and my vision:

I am an upcoming independent artist. Originally, from Istanbul, I graduated from Sainte Pulchérie French High School, and then completed a double major program in politics and sociology at University of Western Ontario. However, before all, I define myself as an Artist.

I have always been curious, introspective, and creative. This nature of mine inevitably led me to become a creator; first in Poetry, then Photography, and then Music Production. I will not limit myself to these outlets either. I will employ more modes of creation and art into my repertoire over time as I master those I’ve already committed myself to. This website is my portfolio for all of my multifaceted talents at once.

I aim for one quality above all in my creations: originality, rooted in authenticity and honesty. In a world saturated with fast productions lacking essence, where art is consumed like fast food, copying and pasting have become sins I strive to eradicate. My goal is to inspire fellow creators and reintroduce the world to the wonders of true art.

Galleries and Projects

All showcased galleries are works in progress. Their progression pertains to my lifespan. The full scope of my works are not present at this moment as this platform is my latest creation. Projects, on the other hand, will be labeled as completed once they are.

herbs and nature

Nature is not a distant entity, separate from us or our civilization; it is the very cornerstone of our existence within the vastness of the cosmos. As humans, we have become captivated by worlds of our own making, often overlooking the silent, enduring presence that has always grounded and nurtured us. The timeless essence of nature, a quiet force unwavering and eternal, remains with us and offers its gifts for us, always.

urban nature

If an alien asked for proof of human evolution, cities would be among the clearest examples. Urban areas pulse with human diversity, much like ecosystems or ant colonies, where millions live individual lives yet remain connected. Part of the beauty of city life lies in this contrast: isolation woven with connection, independence with interdependence. Modern skyscrapers stand beside historic buildings, showcasing both progress and tradition, as neighborhoods, avenues, and alleys come together to form a maze-like world, a living testament to human creativity and resilience.

reflections

Sometimes, what is reflected on a surface is more intriguing than the object itself. Though it mimics the original, a reflection becomes a distorted, enhanced, or even corrupted version of reality, creating its own unique aura. This alteration forms something distinct from reality, something appreciated in its own right. Some of these images stand as reflections alone, while others appear alongside their originals, where the subtle differences enhance the magic of the reflection.

‘Light’ games

Light Games began as an accident. I believe meticulous calculation in art can fall short of capturing the best of ideas and raw materials. Plans can fail to reveal treasures hidden to the everyday mind. Therefore, at times, I take spontaneous shots of planned frames, allowing chaos to bring forth what I too fail to recognize. When I stumbled upon my first shot of this kind, I was deeply moved. I committed to practicing this craft, capturing light free-flowing, as if it gets distorted and spaghettified at the event horizon of a black hole. This series celebrates the beauty that calculation and the naked eye often fail to recognize.

Silhouettes

Contrast is everything. Without opposites, neither can be fully comprehended. I’ve always been fascinated by such opposing forces, as they reveal the hidden essence of what’s observed. Silhouettes leave no room for misunderstandings, standing uncompromisingly in their authentic aura against an alienated environment. This stark contrast cuts through distractions, allowing truth to emerge as contrast itself tells the story.

Living as a human… it is the first form of art.

Art and artistry have often been associated with distinct segments of society, but I challenge this view by asserting, ‘Living as a human is the first form of art.’ Since art is a mode of self-expression, every decision and action we take reflects our inner selves, making life itself an art form. The way we navigate life’s challenges, experience success and failure, endure difficulties, and celebrate joyful moments—all through the lens of self-awareness—is foundational to artistry. Life demands creativity, urging us to make sense of an often absurd or nihilistic world, to communicate and live either through introspection or by embracing the present boldly. We are all artists at heart, though not everyone recognizes this inherent talent within us. This philosophy was inspired by one of my favourite Pixar movies, Ratatouille, where the idea that ‘anyone can cook’ echoes my belief that anyone can make art.
